American rapper,   Lil Wayne  has filed a $20 million lawsuit against his former attorney   Ronald Sweeney,  over claims he charged him beyond the industry standard for 13 years. In the court documents obtained by TMZ, the 36-year-old Grammy Award-winning rapper claims that Sweeney who served as his lawyer from 2005 through September 2018 charged him 10 percent when most deals in the industry were around five percent. According to Lil Wayne, the up-charge saw Sweeney make $20 million during his tenure. It was also claimed in the document, that the lawyer got greedy and started proposing he get an additional 10 percent of all profits from Wayne's label, Young Money but the rapper prevented that from happening.  In the suit, he says Sweeney managed to pull even more funds out of Wayne by enlisting the help of another law firm for the ongoing legal battles with Birdman and Cash Money Records, as well as Universal Music Group.  Wayne added that the firm got 23

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested 35-year old Dorathy Sunday, pictured above, for allegedly stealing a five day old twin baby boy at the maternity ward of the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, Anambra state. A statement from the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, said the suspect sneaked into the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi at about 5pm yesterday January 30th and stole a five day old twin baby boy at the maternity ward of the hospital when the mother of the baby, 22-year-old Mmadu Happiness Miracle of  Uruagu, Nnewi went to the hospital compound to wash her clothes. However, luck ran out of the suspect when Nurses at the hospital gate saw her in a suspicious manner and raised an alarm which led to her arrest. Meanwhile, the stolen baby was recovered in good condition and the case is under investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.

A schoolgirl was found hanged days after a family dispute over chores. It has now been revealed that prior to her death, she told teachers at her school that she was afraid to go home. The body of Amber Peat, 13, was discovered in bushes three days after she disappeared from her home in Mansfield, England, after a family dispute. A young Nigerian man has taken to Facebook to express his shock and disappointment after finding out his parents hid his twin brother from him since birth. Emmanuel Rowland, pictured right, said he was heartbroken as he thought he was an only child, not knowing he had a twin brother who was taken by his father after their birth because his parents decided to seperate. According to Emmanuel, he found out about his twin brother in August 2018, after his father had called to inform him. The pair reunited after 21 years and Emmanuel now refers to his brother as the best twin brother in the world. The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed by suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, seeking stay of execution on his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). The court in its ruling Wednesday morning, said the charges against Onnoghen are criminal in nature and that he must face the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, to defend the allegations of false asset declaration levelled against him by the Federal government. Justice Onnoghen had approached  the court yesterday with an argument that the CCT had no jurisdiction to preside over the case. The federal government is prosecuting Onnoghen at the CCT for alleged false assets declaration. He was suspended from office last Friday January 25th and Justice Tanko Muhammad was appointed CJN in acting capacity.

Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Dickson Ishaku has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen. Hassan was reportedly whisked away this morning while on his way to Gembu, along Bali-Gashaka axis of the road, to join the Governor who is on a campaign tour of the area. An Italian town is offering new residents $10,000 to relocate and have a baby. Locana, a town in north west Italy, is experiencing a dwindling population and the mayor is offering cash rewards in order to attract more families back to the shrinking community. Anyone wanting to relocate to the Alpine commune in the Piedmont region could be paid up to $10,000 (€9,000) over three years to make Locana their home. Giovanni Bruno Mattiet, Locana's mayor, has made the offer in the hope of saving the community from dying out.  At first, Mattiet appealed to Italians or foreigners already living in Italy to relocate to Locana but the response was not encouraging, He is now extending the offer to non-Italians living abroad as well.
