A bereaved wife, whose husband was recently shot dead by armed robbers, has taken to Facebook to mourn him and narrate how he died. In a heartbreaking post, Kalu Pat Eguono described how perfect her husband was, how well he treated her, and how he called her just moments before he was killed on January 24. Shortly after his call to her, the husband went on an official assignment with his boss and was shot dead by armed robbers in Port Harcourt. His body has been deposited at the morgue and the case is currently in Rumuokoro police station, the heartbroken wife told LIB. The police in Lagos state have arrested members of a female-led armed robbery gang whose speciality is to rob Uber drivers of their vehicles in Lagos state. Parading two of the gang members, Zino Tochukwu Ude and Anumelechi Chris Williams, before newsmen, the state police commissioner, Edgal Imohimi, said the female member is currently in police custody and is helping with investigations.  Narrating how they were apprehended, CP Imohimi said that on January 19th at about 11.30 am, an Uber driver picked a female passenger from Oniru to Orchid Hotel by 2nd Toll-gate, Lekki. Unknown to him, the woman belonged to a gang of armed robbers. On their way to the lady's destination, the woman asked the Uber Driver to pull over, to enable her collect money from her boyfriend. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured an interim forfeiture of the sum of fromN1,000,494,000 (One Billion, Four Hundred and Ninety Four Thousand Naira) only. The order was granted by Justice Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court sitting in Kano. The forfeiture was as a result of a motion exparte filed by the Commission seeking for the interim forfeiture of the sum of N1,000,494,000 (One Billion Four and Ninety Four Thousand Naira) only found hidden away in the bank account of MAGEL RESORT LIMITED, a company linked to the former first lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan. The EFCC received an intelligence alleging that a bank account domiciled in Fidelity Bank, was said to have stored huge sum of money that is not being used by anybody. A cunning French teenager has been jailed after buying a PlayStation 4, which usually costs about £300, for under £8 by weighing it on a fruit scale and paying at the self-service till. Adel, 19, picked the games console off the shelf in a supermarket in Montbeliard, eastern France, last September. He then took it to the fruit and vegetable section where he then bagged it and placed it on the electronic scale. It weighed 6 pounds and he put a sticker with the price tag on the device and went to the self-checkout. There, Adel paid £7.86 for the 6lb bag of ‘fruit’ at a self-checkout till. After fraudulently purchasing the game console, the teen went on to sell it for £87.43 to pay for a train ticket to his home town of Nice, in south-eastern France, L’Est Republicain reported. Adel would have got away with it if he had not returned to the same shop the next day to try to carry out the scam again. Earlier today, TMZ reported that  Cardi B  and her estranged husband, Migos rapper  Offset  were finally back together amidst his cheating scandal. In the report, the gossip site claimed that the mother of one returned to the Atlanta home they shared before the breakup.   It was also reported that one of the key factors was Offset changing his phone number, in order to show Cardi he's serious about being honest and faithful including a new, "no groupies" rule, which they said will be in full effect this weekend.  Reacting, Cardi B shut down the report in a tweet which has since been deleted, she wrote: 'TMZ why ya be lying. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will probe the TraderMoni micro-credit scheme of the Federal Government.  INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this to reporters in Abuja while raising several concerns about vote buying by some politicians. He said the electoral body was aware of the controversy trailing the TraderMoni, stressing that they would investigate the scheme for possible violation of campaign finance laws. Professor Yakubu explained that the commission would study public comments on the scheme and assess whether or not the government violated the campaign finance laws.   According to him, INEC has a mechanism for tracking campaign finance violations by the candidates and various political parties in the country. This comes amid accusations by individuals and groups, including civil society organisations who described the scheme as a form of vote-buying. A middle-aged man identified as Michael Habila, has been arrested by men of the Nasarawa state police command for alleged killing his mother during a heated argument at their home in Lafia the state capital on Wednesday January 30th.  A statement by the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Samaila Usman, reads ”Our men on patrol received a distress call on Jan. 30, at 10:00 hours that a mob was beating one Michael Habila of Tudun Gwandara in Lafia. They rescued him from the mob and later discovered that he had allegedly stabbed his mother due to misunderstanding. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died as confirmed by the doctor'' According to Usman,  the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

A woman charged her cheating ex £100 for him to be able to talk to her and screenshots of her chat with him are going viral on Twitter. 19-year-old Toni Osborne recently shared two screenshots on Twitter. One of the screenshots shows her demanding £100 from her ex for him to have the privilege of talking to her. The other screenshot was of him actually sending the money. Her ex had messaged her asking to talk, and explained that he would be willing to do anything to have a bit of her time. Toni says that the guy had ‘cheated, abused’ and broken up with her over three years ago, so she thought asking for the money was ‘compensation’.
