An unarmed man suspected to be an armed robber was allegedly shot dead by policemen in Edo state on Tuesday morning January 29th. According to Instagram user, @CarrickDublin who shared a video from the scene online, the suspected man was fleeing the scene after he was apprehended when the police shot at him. He died instantly.  ''This happened in Benin city some Armed police men caught some innocents boy's and they were not with any weapon,Then one was trying to Escape and he was shoot dead at the spot.....The Questions is What's is happening in Nigeria?

Twitter has done its thing again as a woman who was looking for her long lost brother, who was given up for adoption 17 years ago, found him after she took her search to Twitter. @nessaaf_18 shared photos of her brother and tweeted that she would love to find him. She said that her mum lost control of her and her two siblings and all three of them were placed in a foster home. Later, her father was able to take control of her and her sister but he couldn't take her brother Joey (Ramon Joseph Perez) because he isn't his biological child.  The boy was given up for adoption and for 17 years, they heard nothing from or about him. After the lady shared the story on Twitter, she later returned to inform her followers that she has found her brother. Read her tweets below.

The House of Representative has approved N30,000 as the new minimum wage for workers in the country. The lawmakers passed the bill during Tuesday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara. They approved the figure after the bill was read and passed for the third time on the floor of the lower chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja.   Prior to the passage of the bill, the House adopted the report of the ad-hoc committee set up to look into the bill presented to the National Assembly by President Buhari. It said it decided to adopt the report of the tripartite committee because of the obvious difficult living conditions in the country. The lawmakers inserted a clause in the bill which makes it effective from the date it is asserted to by the President. The Zamfara Government has called on residents of the state to embark on a three-day fasting and intensive prayers to seek God’s intervention against the activities of bandits, kidnappers and other crimes.
