Peace Mass Transit lands in Awka!!
Peace Mass Transit (PMT) Ltd now has a depot in Awka, the Anambra State capital, latest in the series of eye-popping ultra modern business premises recently commissioned by the leading road transport company, across the country.
Peace Mass Transit has been present in Onitsha since inception over two decades ago, before the very recent addition of the Nkpor branch, but the Awka depot is somewhat of a watershed, marking the company’s first official presence in the state capital since the creation of the present Anambra state, some 28 years ago.
The Awka PMT depot is located on 112 Arthur Eze Avenue, UNIZIKjunction, opposite Sinai Oil.
The new premises is yet another trail-blazing architectural masterpiece, innovative in both design and ultimate delivery, and the general comfort ambience is second to none.
An obviously excited travelling public has been effusive in its praise of the depot, which began operations a few weeks ago.
As usual, all operational activities at the Awka depot from ticketing to manifesting, are up and running and are automated.
“The environment is attractive, awesome”, Lagos bound passenger, Madam Ruth Nwafor, enthused Monday morning. “It is befitting of a structure meant for a state capital. Awka is growing”.
To Miss Bola Akinwande, a student of UNIZIK, PMT depot at Awka was a welcome relief in terms of ease of movement and reduction in cost of travels.
According to her; “I was excited and relieved when the Nkpor depot started because I spent less to connect Lagos buses, but to now travel to Lagos directly From Awka, the very location of my school is extra bonus really”.
PMT Executive Director in charge of Support Service (SS), Ikechukwu Asogwa, urged the travelling public to continue to keep the faith with the company, while thanking them for their continuous patronage over the years.
“We are not ungrateful; neither are we relenting in our efforts to remain the best road transport operators”. Asogwa said.
“The new depots we are building are costly, but we as a management consider those expenses worth the while because our customers deserve no less”.
